Drop-In Visits in Montréal

A 30–45 minute visit at home for the everyday parts of your pet’s routine that still need to happen when you’re away.

Drop-in visits are available for both dogs and cats. What happens during the visit depends on the animal and the routine we’ve agreed on.

Who this is for

A 30–45 minute visit at home for the everyday parts of your pet’s routine that still need to happen when you’re away.

How it goes

1

What happens during a visit?

For cats, a visit can include feeding, checking or refreshing water, litter-box care, play and interaction when your cat is comfortable with it, and other agreed parts of their normal routine.

For dogs, a Drop-In Visit includes a walk, together with feeding, water and other agreed routine care where needed.

2

How long is a Drop-In Visit?

Most visits last approximately 30–45 minutes.

If your animal needs substantially more time or a more involved routine, Extended In-Home Care may be a better fit.

When 30–45 minutes is not enough, Extended In-Home Care allows more time with your pet at home.

Multi-Cat Household Visits

A home with several cats isn’t always just a normal visit multiplied by the number of bowls.

Different cats can have different food, litter routines, personalities, levels of interaction and care needs.

For multi-cat households, I can structure the visit around the individual routines within the group rather than treating every cat as one shared checklist.

Pricing is based on the number of cats and the care involved. We’ll agree on the price before care begins.

Pricing

Dogs — from $29 CAD / visit

Cats — from $20 CAD / visit

Starting rates reflect straightforward care needs. Final pricing is agreed based on your pet’s routine, required time and level of care.

Requests made less than 24 hours before the visit begins are charged at 2× the applicable rate.

Personal updates

You'll hear from me, not an automated system. I send personal updates with photos and details about how your pet is doing, what we've been up to and anything useful I noticed during our time together.

Fair questions

Usually around 30–45 minutes.

Yes.

Tell me how many cats you have and what each of their routines looks like. Multi-cat pricing is based on the number of cats and the care involved.

Take a look at Extended In-Home Care, which allows up to approximately two hours.

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Payment can be made by Interac e-Transfer or cash.

If you need to cancel, please give me at least 12 hours' notice before the scheduled service begins. A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Late cancellations may be subject to applicable charges where permitted.

Not always, but I strongly recommend a free Meet & Greet before care begins. It usually takes about 30–45 minutes and gives us time to go through your pet's routine, personality and anything else I should know. In some cases, I may ask to meet your pet before confirming care when compatibility, anxiety, behaviour, size or other individual circumstances need to be assessed.

If I cannot access your home or reach your pet at the agreed time because the necessary key, fob, code or other access was not provided or does not work, the scheduled service is still chargeable.

Yes. If your pet requires medication during care, please provide the medication together with clear instructions for the dosage, timing and method of administration. I can administer oral, topical and intramuscular medications, but I do not administer intravenous medication. I follow the medication instructions you provide and do not independently change dosages or treatment instructions. Checking expiration dates and providing medication that has not expired remains the client's responsibility.

Before care begins, please provide your veterinarian or veterinary clinic information, an emergency contact, and current contact information for yourself. If I notice something that appears to require urgent attention, I will make a reasonable effort to contact you first. If you cannot be reached and I reasonably believe your pet requires immediate veterinary attention, I may contact your veterinarian, an emergency veterinary clinic or your designated emergency contact rather than delay necessary care.
